Greetings
and Welcome to Our Second Sale.
This has been a busy year and getting ready for the sale seems to
have taken a lot of time, but as Dana at the office said, "It is
something he likes to do".
Boon is gone, but certainly not
forgotten. he left us several nice fillies and mares that we
look forward to crossing with one of our other horses. Cowboy,
Mac's outstanding barrel horse was struck by lighting. That
was one bad storm!
Guys French Jet aka Jet is coming along well
in the barrels and beginning to assert himself. We purchased a
second son of Frenchmans Guy this Fall, Dashing Guy aka, Dash.
Dash has a mare line that is hard to beat. Not only did his
Dam and Granddam run 90+ si they also produced runners with 90+ si.
The October issue of the Western Horseman made me smile. They
had an article on horse lines that made the best ranch horses.
Two Eyed jack was rated #4 which is how the majority of our mares
are bred. Sunfrost was #10, he is the sire to Frenchman's Guy.
Number 3 was Joe Handcock, see lots 32 thru 34.
We welcome Jim
Brinkman and Ben Hoepker back from the Pitzer Ranch. Western
Horseman did an article on Jim in September 2007. Jim showed
Vickie Lee Pine to the First AQHA Super Horse title in 1978.
he then co-owned the 1983 winner Mr. Baron Red. Jim owns and
manages the ranch. His Grandfather, Howard Pitzer, is the all
time leading breeder of AQHA Champions, and owned Two Eyed Jack, the
all time leading sire of AQHA Champions (149)Ben has lived on the
ranch since he was 12 and is the breeding manager.
A special
thanks to Eunice Turner for preparing the catalog.
Thanks for coming and enjoy the show.
Respectfully, Gary Langford
