Jay Holmes directed
Boon's successful show career . In 2005-2006 Boon won 6
open shows - 4 heeling and 2 heading. He was the all
around horse at a show in South Carolina, and the region
1 champion in North Carolina.
Boon was a very athletic, AQHA point earner, money
earner, good minded, handsome stallion with both speed
and cow. He was well mannered and easy to handle. Boon
was proving to be a heck of a heel horse and would
definitely watch a cow. In two foal crops, he produced
some mighty nice colts; you may view them below. Boon's
sire, Cooke County Etc, has produced winners in cutting
(1998 APHA world cutting futurity finalist), reining
(1998 top ten finisher in the youth world cup), American
reined cow horse association super slide finalist.
Boon's first foals will be two in 2005, we are excited
to see how well they will perform.
Boon's dam is by the immortal Boon Bar and out of a
daughter Gay Bar King a leading brood mare sire, enough
said.
